Over 20,000 spectators, and millions more on pay-per-view television, showed up Wednesday night at Eldora Speedway to watch NASCAR NEXTEL Cup regular Carl Edwards win the NEXTEL Prelude to the Dream presented by Old Spice dirt late model race.
The only major accident occurred on Lap 17 when Stewart, Bobby Labonte and Kasey Kahne got together in Turn 2. Labonte and Stewart, who finished 21st and 22nd, respectively, had their racing evening end prematurely, while Kahne was able to continue and finished sixth.
The race was broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View with the proceeds from the telecast going to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Tony Stewart Foundation.
