Bobby Labonte, driver for Petty Enterprises, will trade his Cheerios yellow and Petty blue paint job to showcase a chocolate-themed paint scheme at the Coca Cola 600 on May 27th. Throughout the weekend Labonte will help launch new Chocolate Chex® cereal for General Mills.
"Chex cereals have not only been a Labonte family favorite for years, but a Petty family tradition," said champion Bobby Labonte. "I'm looking forward to running this new paint scheme under the lights at Charlotte, and my kids are looking forward to me bringing some Chocolate Chex cereal home after the race."
With hopes of a winning weekend for Labonte in the #43 Chocolate Chex Dodge, Chex cereal wants to give race fans a chance to win. Thursday, May 24th through Saturday, May 26th at Food Lion Speed Street in uptown Charlotte, race fans can enter to win their very own 1937 Chocolate Chex® Dodge Sedan LegendsT Car designed by artist Sam Bass.
Race fans can just stop by the Chocolate Chex® tent, vote for the NASCAR NMPA Chex Most Popular Driver award and receive an entry form. The winner will be notified the week of June 4 through a congratulatory phone call from Nextel Cup driver Bobby Labonte. Fans must be 18 or older to enter or win.
"Chocolate Chex® has really gone out of the way to make one fan very lucky," stated Labonte. "I'm thrilled to drive the Chocolate Chex® race car, and I hope my fans are just as excited at the possibility of winning this LegendsT Car."
"Chocolate Chex® and Chex® cereals are proud to be associated with Bobby Labonte and everyone at Petty Enterprises," said Rohan Thakur, marketing manager for Chex® cereals. "We can't wait to share this new product, and what better way to kick things off than race week in Charlotte, one of the biggest events in racing."
