Labonte Qualifies 28th for Bristol

Bobby Labonte qualified in 28th spot for the race this weekend in Bristol, TN. His second lap, the fastest, clocked in at 123.578 MPH, nearly two miles an hour slower than pole winner Jeff Gordon.

Jeff Gordon finished qualifying today with the pole as his prize, his fifth at Bristol Motor Speedway. This marks Gordon's 58th career pole, tying him with Bobby Allison for fifth on the all-time pole position list.
